Corruption Free India

As we all know, a peaceful protest just got over. A victory over corruption? A question too early to be answered. A movement like what Anna just completed to bring the entire nation wake up against a long term disease is just not enough to weed up this mighty disease. It requires a lot of introspection among us to understand that we are either directly or indirectly affected by corruption. Some may do it knowingly but some unknowingly.

Corruption starts at a point when you are given what you are not supposed to get. Our country is more popular to be know for smiles around money and of-course you get to complete your work more sooner when you appreciate them with some money. At the end of the day its a win-win situation for both the parties. This attitude of unnecessary generosity needs to stop.

Trying not to bribe for any situation even though its very critical based on time is another cause of concern. When there is a shortage of time we tend to bend a little accepting small traces of corruption in us to finish the work at a faster pace. Well this ideology needs to be stopped and how can it be done in a land that has too many non-transparent procedures and too many paper works without even knowing what all these unnecessary procedures are.

I would have lit a candle against corruption but my inner conscience says that all these stunts in front of media dictating the very design of democracy and parliament by issuing the terms rather than suggestions is something painful to the very existence of a government.Corruption has to be weeded out from within us and we need to take a resolution not to indulge in it no matter what demanding and critical the situation is. Well can we do that?

If Anna's fast would have ended when the suggestion was taken up in parliament then it would have attained a star, but waiting to end the fast till we saw that the terms we dictated is in paper and motion is something far against being noble and peaceful.Should have been termed as rude.

To the point of suggestive patterns to end corruption would be

1. Never reward unnecessarily

2. Never expect what you are not entitled for

3. Understand the process and procedures

4. Display transparency in government process and procedures

5. Reduce unnecessary process / procedure flows

6. Have a separated Anti corruption body which is independent and stable and free from all political and non political influences

7. Have members from judiciary, government, opposition, general public to form the investigation team

8. All members of the team should have a minimum graduate education

9. Proceedings of the team need to be publicized through various media outlets

10. Media to play an important role in reporting only the fact and not the thoughts

All the above are my suggestive plans and as I understand corruption stops on the first insight of U having not to indulge in it.

Lets be positive in weeding out this problem from each one of us first and then lets be firm on being NOT CORRUPT.
